We work with natural cycles of the forest to produce the highest quality mushrooms available.

  • We carefully select local birch, alder, aspen, and oak trees that are growing to close and reducing the vitality of the forest to cut down.
  • We only cut these trees in the winter when they have the most available sugars and nutrients.
  • In the spring we inoculate various varieties including shiitake, oyster, nameko, reishi, turkey tail, and chicken of the woods.
  • We only use local bees wax to seal the inoculation holes as this supports local farmers and promotes nontoxic solutions.
